Log+Key 2.4: NFC sign-in, smarter object assignment and more

With the update to version 2.4, we're rolling out new features that make your day-to-day key management even more convenient — from lightning-fast sign-in at the terminal to an expanded object assignment. Here are the highlights of the new version:

⚡ Lightning-fast at the terminal: sign in with an NFC tag

No more typing in PINs: staff can now sign in at the Log+Key terminal with their personal NFC tag — a single wave of the hand is all it takes. That saves time when collecting keys and adds convenience. We show how the tag sign-in works and how to set it up in detail in the article Sign in at the terminal with your personal NFC tag.

🎯 Next-level object assignment

Object assignment has been fundamentally reworked and brings several new capabilities at once:

  • Hardware NFC reader for faster scanning
  • Objects can now be assigned to contacts as well
  • Company search: when assigning, you can now conveniently search by company
  • Return date, email receipts and custom-field adjustments directly during assignment

👥 More precise user and contact management

  • Individual access toggles for computer, smartphone and terminal sign-in
  • Expanded profiles with fields for company, job title and phone number

🌍 Languages, required fields & notifications

  • Your language setting is now saved permanently
  • Custom takeable fields can now be marked as required
  • Automatic email reminders for overdue keys are now available to all customers

As always: many of our best features grow out of your feedback. Give the new features a try and tell us how they hold up in your day-to-day — we look forward to hearing from you!
